1. బోయజు పురద్వారమునొద్దకు పోయి అక్కడ కూర్చుండగా, బోయజు చెప్పిన బంధువుడు ఆ త్రోవను పోవుచుండెను గనుక బోయజుఓయి, యీ తట్టు తిరిగి ఇక్కడ కూర్చుండుమని అతని పిలువగా అతడు వచ్చి కూర్చుండెను. 1. Then went Boaz up to the gate and sat himself down there; and behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by, unto whom he said, "Ho, such a one! Turn aside, sit down here." And he turned aside and sat down. 2. బోయజు ఆ ఊరి పెద్దలలో పదిమందిని పిలిపించుకొని, ఇక్కడ కూర్చుండుడనిచెప్పగా వారును కూర్చుండిరి. 2. And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, "Sit ye down here." And they sat down. 3. అతడుమోయాబు దేశమునుండి తిరిగి వచ్చిన నయోమి మన సహోదరుడైన ఎలీమెలెకునకు కలిగిన భూభాగమును అమ్మివేయుచున్నది గనుక నీవు చెవులార వినునట్లు నేనొకసంగతి తెలియజేయవలెనని యున్నాను. 3. 1. ఆమె అత్తయైన నయోమినా కుమారీ, నీకు మేలు కలుగునట్లు నేను నీ కొరకు విశ్రాంతి విచారింపవలసిన దానను గదా. 1. Then Naomi her mother-in-law said unto her, "My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee? 2. ఎవని పనికత్తెలయొద్ద నీవు ఉంటివో ఆ బోయజు మనకు బంధువుడు. ఇదిగో యీ రాత్రి అతడు కళ్లమున యవలు తూర్పారబట్టింప బోవుచున్నాడు. 2. And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley tonight at the threshing floor. 3. నీవు స్నానముచేసి తైలము రాచుకొని నీ బట్టలు కట్టుకొని ఆ కళ్లమునకు వెళ్లుము; అతడు అన్నపానములు పుచ్చు కొనుట చాలించువరకు నీవు అతనికి మరుగైయుండుము. 3. Wash thyself therefore and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor; but make not thyself known unto the man until he shall have done eating and drinking. 4. అతడు పండుకొనిన తరువాత అతడు పండుకొనిన స్థలమును గుర్తెరిగి లోపలికి పోయి అతని కాళ్లమీద నున్న బట్ట తీసి పండుకొనవలెను; నీవు చేయవలసినదానిని అతడు నీకు తెలియజేయునని ఆమెతో అనగా...

1. నయోమి పెనిమిటికి బంధువు డొకడుండెను. అతడు చాల ఆస్తిపరుడు, అతడు ఎలీమెలెకు వంశపువాడై యుండెను, అతని పేరు బోయజు. 1. And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth of the family of Elimelech, and his name was Boaz. 2. మోయాబీయురాలైన రూతునీ సెలవైనయెడల నేను పొలములోనికి పోయి, యెవని కటాక్షము పొందగలనో వాని వెనుక పరిగె నేరుకొందునని నయోమితో చెప్పగా ఆమెనా కూమారీ పొమ్మనెను. 2. And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, "Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace." And she said unto her, "Go, my daughter." 3. కాబట్టి ఆమె వెళ్లి పొలములోనికి వచ్చి చేను కోయువారి వెనుక పొలములో ఏరుకొనెను. ఆ పొలములో ఆమె పోయిన భాగము ఎలీమెలెకు వంశపువాడైన బోయజుది. 3. 1. న్యాయాధిపతులు ఏలిన దినములయందు దేశములో కరవు కలుగగా యూదా బేత్లెహేమునుండి ఒక మనుష్యుడు తన భార్యను తన యిద్దరు కుమారులను వెంట బెట్టుకొని మోయాబుదేశమున కాపురముండుటకు వెళ్ళెను. 1. Now it came to pass, in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons. 2. ఆ మనుష్యునిపేరు ఎలీమెలెకు, అతని భార్యపేరు నయోమి; అతని యిద్దరు కుమారుల పేళ్లు మహ్లోను కిల్యోను; వారు యూదా బేత్లెహేమువారైన ఎఫ్రాతీయులు; వారు మోయాబు దేశమునకు వెళ్లి అక్కడ కాపురముండిరి. 2. And the name of the man was Elimelech and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah.
